Scheduled Task Result Monitor
from 0 votesI wanted to set up a monitor to verify that some scheduled tasks were completing successfully and returning a 0 result. I wasn't able to find anything on Monitoring Exchange, so I dug into setting up my own script to check my scheduled task results. Please note that I am not a programmer, so this is a very rudimentary script. Please feel free to modify this script if you see any worth in it. This script is written for Powershell, you will need to set up your machine to run powershell scripts and a tutorial for that is availabe many places on the web. I've currently got Nagios set up to run this script once a day. As I said, I'm not a programmer so I don't have it set up to pass a variable to the script, and a great improvement that someone could make to it would be to pass the Task Name to the script. -
